Ijebu North-east LGA, Ogun State

Ijebu North East LGA with headquarters in Atan/Ijebu Igbo[1], is part of Ogun East Senatorial District. The LGA was created in 1979[2], it spans an area of 145.3 square kilometers with a 2006 census population of 118,120, which grew to a 2022 projection of 117,000, resulting in a population density of 805 people per square kilometer[3].

The LGA’s economy is dominated by the timber business due to local sawmills. It houses the Ogun State Polytechnic of Health and Allied Sciences. Ijebu North East’s postal code is 120, and it is located at 6°54′N latitude and 4°01′E longitude.[4].
